As of Monday 11 November 2024, New Zealand Health Group (NZHG) has a new Acting Chief Executive: Mike Peters.
Mike Peters, formerly our Chief People Officer, is stepping into the role of Chief Executive for the next six months. Since joining us in May 2019, Mike has been an invaluable member of our Executive Leadership Team and has led many key improvement initiatives that have strengthened our position as Aotearoa’s leading home and community healthcare provider.
With a deep understanding of our organisation and strong relationships across the health sector, Mike is well prepared to lead our 10,000-strong team in delivering exceptional care to thousands of people across Aotearoa. The Board is delighted to have Mike at the helm as we continue to grow and work toward our purpose of Pae Ora mō Tātau Katoa (achieving equitable wellbeing for everyone).
